View Full Version : Using External DVD Burners through Firewire.

I have a Sony DRU-510a dvd burner that I love hooked up to my PC right now. If I get one of those firewire external enclosures, will any mac dvd programs be able to recognize it and use it with no problems? Maybe the question is not so easy, but I hope someone can steer me in the right direction.

Try XLR8YourMac (http://www.xlr8yourmac.com), they have extensive reports on all sorts of hardware compatibility and even "haxies" to make your unsupported drive work with your Mac.
