Airport Extreme... do i need that 94$ antenna?

if you're just going to use the laptop in that one room there's no possible reason why you would need the antenna

Better question, do you really need an airport? You can get a d-link 802.11g for around $20.

15x15? How about using an Ethernet cable until you decide if youreally need a wireless router.

I am in the army and live in the barracks at Ft Carson and I have to agree with the other person, get the $20 dlink. If you live in the barracks that means you do notneed to blow the moneyon an airport and antenna, the dlink wll give you more than adequate reception in you room. I would suggest enabling MAC filtering as all sorts of jackasses were punking my wireless until I did.
