is there a way to mark all my email messages as read so that i no longer have the notification on my home screen. i check my mail on my computer so i dont want to recheck all of the messages on my ipod touch just to mark them as not new. thanks for any help!

no im sorry to say that there is no feature that does that but there is an alternative. Simply open your mail app and scroll down to the first message that says it hasnt been read. Open that email and then touch the up arrow in the upper right hand corner until all of your messages are labeld as "read'. This only takes about 30 seconds and works great for getting it done fast. Hope this helps.

thanks kh14 that worked great. pain in the butt that it has to be done like that but it worked. maybe 3.0....?
