I recently downloaded MLB.com At Bat 2009 from the Apps Store. It's a great app that lets me listen to any MLB game on my iPod Touch. Problem is that the volume on the audio for the games is pretty low despite turning up the app's volume control all the way to max.

Is there a way to turn up the volume for just the iPod Touch that may also increase the overall volume for the audio?

The device from Amazon is just a volume control that connects to the earphone jack on the iPod and then you plug your headphones into that. It won't increase the volume over what the iPod sets.

IIRC, there was an option to limit how loud the iPod could play (required by the EU standards) that could be disabled in setup. It's called Volume Limit under Settings->music.

If that's not enough you'd need a powered headset.
