I need some help here deciding between 3 Laptops.

I will preface this by saying that I game almost exclusively from from Gaming Rig (HIGH END - Absolutely TOP shelf Homemade). I would however like to be able to play World of Warcraft from the laptop with reasonable frames (resonable meaning no slide show), but Ill spend 99% of my gaming time on the Desktop.

The Laptop with be used primarily for email, Webbrowsing, photo management, my iPhone and Porn(mostly web based but some DVD). I have used both OS X and Vista for a while now and to be honest OS X is better, but Vista gets a bad rap at this stage of the software. I prefer Mac but do not hate MS.

Money is not completely an issue as I know the PC would be less expensive. Given my laid out criteria I would love to hear some honest opionions and why. If I go Mac I will buy refurb and not new. Ill check back in a bit.

Well, I think it's a given that any system that will let you play WoW without choppiness will pretty much handle all those other tasks. I've played WoW on the road on my previous-gen MBP (15", 2.5 Gig, 256MB Video Card) with no problems. I've played a bit of WoW and more recently, COH on a UMB with little choppiness (though it wouldn't surprise me to get a bit in very crowded areas). If you want the best gaming experience the MBP is the best bet, if you are satisfied using your laptop for an occasional gaming experience and more for the other "tasks" you mention, I suspect an MB would serve you fine.

On the MacBook, WOW will play very well in low/mid settings and if this is acceptable, go for it. As far as MBP, I'd recommend the 15". I like to play game at native res and the 1920 display on the 17" will definitely run slower than 1440 of the 15".

But if all you're doing is web/e-mail/porn, MBP might be overkill.

EDIT: As far as the Gateway, I never used them so I have no experience.
