As my iPhone 3G turns about 9 months old, I feel the need to make her stand out a little bit. So I ordered an xGear Mirror Screen Protector...my oh my is this thing shiny.
After installing it, I really didn't know what the heck to think about it. Did I like the fact that I could see myself every second I used my phone? No. Did I like the the fact that its different from all other iPhones? Yes. The most common remark I have gotten from other people is "woah!" Yup, people enjoy the LG Shine-like appearance. But most of those people who own an LG Shine also hate the fact that you can't see a damn thing in bright conditions, and the same holds true for this screen protector. Walking outside on a sunny day with this thing on? Forget it. Looking at it while it's sitting on a table? Nope. It is an absolute mirror. No question about it.
I'm probably going to keep it on for another two or three months before I upgrade to a new iPhone this summer.
My overall rating- C+

Agreed. I'd choose function over fashion any day (to a reasonable level). I wouldn't go as far as to say I'd get the Sectera Edge (http://blackberry.pdablast.com/articles/2009/1/2009121-Obama-s-BlackBerry-Replacement.html).

If you want to stand out, don't be different; be outstanding. -MW

I think it looks awesome.
How is it with smudges and fingerprints?
I'm currently using the Steinheil anti-fingerprint film and I think it's great but I do like that mirror look very much too.
