Specifics on purchasing an unlocked iPhone

I want to buy an unlocked iPhone for use with TMobile. I've got a family plan with TMobile that I've had since 2004 and with three lines, it would be cheaper for me to buy a phone than to cancel each line and start service with someone else. I love my powerbook and have an iPod touch but have been wanting an iPhone since they came out.

I would like to see if anyone can tell me a reliable site to get one, and what I need to do to get it to work (internet included) with my service. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!:D

I believe you can purchase an unlocked phone from apple. Otherwise, I know Craigslist is always littered with them.

You wont be able to get an unlocked phone from Apple unless it comes from Hong Kong, Italy or other countrys that sell them unlocked.
Since you wont be able to use 3G with Tmobile service mind as well pick up a 2G Iphone from Ebay.
You'd be looking to spend around $250-300
