PHP to RSS to Facebook - how?

I have a blog that has an RSS feed that is imported into Facebook notes.

Unfortunately this is all brought in one big paragraph as I have use the PHP strip_tags function to remove the HTML from my post to get it to display.

What I would like to know is. If i have say a blog post that has lots of <p></p> tags how can I strip these and then get the line breaks added to my RSS import to facebook?
