I'm trying to install xcode tools from my Leopard installation dvd, but no matter what combination I choose to install I get the error message "No software found to install". All I'm really interested in is getting gcc to run C programs, but I'm starting to get very frustrated! I've searched this error on google and it seems like a lot of people have come up against it, but couldn't find any solutions. Any help would be appreciated!
I'm running Leopard version 10.5.6 (but trying to install from a dvd for 10.5.0 - does that matter?), and I have a 2.2 GHz Intel Macbook Pro.

You really should sign up as an ADC Online member (it's free) if you haven't already, grab the latest version of Xcode (WARNING: It's a HUGE download, about 1.1 GB), and install that. You'll get the benefits of all the bug fixes since Xcode 3.0 was released, in addition to solving your problem.
