Just trying to get a gauge of my usage from all of you who've had your MBAs since about the time of the introduction last year. My cycle count is currently at 175.

How are you guys holding up?

And how many cycles can I really expect from the built-in battery?

My machine was purchased the week it came out, I charge it every night, and it is at 92% right now as I am working.
Here's what I have:

Charge Information:
Charge remaining (mAh): 4098
Fully charged: No
Charging: Yes
Full charge capacity (mAh): 4546
Health Information:
Cycle count: 246
Condition: Good
Battery Installed: Yes
Amperage (mA): 502
Voltage (mV): 8071

I have Apple Care and I am hoping that I can get TekServe or Apple to replace the battery before the three - year mark..

Had mine for almost 7 months (September). I charge it almost every night, but sometimes will have it just closed and asleep for days at a time in my bag. Having an iMac at home helps reduce battery reliance on the MBA. Still no problem holding charges though.

Charge Information:
Charge remaining (mAh): 3141
Fully charged: No
Charging: No
Full charge capacity (mAh): 4734
Health Information:
Cycle count: 147
Condition: Good
Battery Installed: Yes
Amperage (mA): -1540
Voltage (mV): 7583

I ordered mine pretty soon after it was announced. These are my battery details after a year and one month of daily use:

Charge Information:
Charge remaining (mAh): 4529
Fully charged: No
Charging: Yes
Full charge capacity (mAh): 4736
Health Information:
Cycle count: 351
Condition: Good
Battery Installed: Yes
Amperage (mA): 544
Voltage (mV): 8136

Health is at 92% according to iStat pro. In answer to your question, I would say you should expect at least 400-450 cycles before you notice a significant impact on the capacity of your battery. At that point you may want to consider replacing it depending on how much time you require between charges. For me, two hours is a minimum - when it hits two and a half hours with the screen dimmed as low as it will go, I will have to have the battery replaced.

system profiler

You can get to it from the about this mac under the apple menu (or directly in Utilities or use system_profiler if you are command line person in a terminal window)

apple > about this mac > more info > hardware > power

NOTE - I am not an early adaptor , I only bough my Rev A in February 09 , BUT , the warranty indicated that it had been sitting in stock since launch ! my understanding of these batteries is that they "age" rather than wear , so I feel these details may still be relevant , & have posted my details on that basis
(If I am wrong on this , please feel free to ignore them ! :) )

hi,

i have a Rev.B around 6 months old.

Might be worth engaging Apple support before you hit a year.
