As far as I know, all threads are kept. If it's something really important to you, I would recommend saving it to your hard drive... just in case.

Well, if you look at visitors to the forums (not just registered members), only just over half of them are from the US.

I never knew Scotland was in America.

Might as well be. You can fly from Glasgow to New York faster than driving from Glasgow to London :)

And with the price of UK gas (petrol) it's probably cheaper! :)

As long as the site is around, there is a good change people will be able to Google your username and watch you stick your: foot in your mouth and/or head in your ass.

And like most things, anything you say on-line can survive way too long for comfort and will likely be used against you, by a lawyer or significant other.

Why worry about divorces or job interviews? At some point in the future, after "they" take over the Internet, our new dystopian overlords at The Ministry of Truth will undoubtably find it necessary to rewrite and change some posts to better fit party doctrine, while other posts will simply go down the memory hole.

Why worry about divorces or job interviews? I am supremely happy with my spouse and employment. At some point in the future, after "they" take over the Internet In the glorious future of technology, our new dystopian overlords at The Ministry of Truth will undoubtably find it necessary to rewrite and change some posts to better fit party doctrine our beneficent servants in the government will seek to clarify the meaning of our internet posts, while other posts will simply go down the memory hole and ensure that no valuable bandwidth is used wastefully.

Fixed that for you, Comrade. ;)
