i believe i once checked "do not show at start up", but now i'd like to have it back and can't find the option. i recently installed the iPhone 2.2.1 SDK and i'm running XCode 3.1.2.

First quit Xcode, then open ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Xcode.plist in Property List Editor and delete XCSuppressSplashForBuilds.

In Xcode 3.x, the "template window" appears when you choose the "Welcome to Xcode" menu-item from the Help menu. At the bottom of that window is the checkbox "Show this window when Xcode launches".

I don't have Xcode 4 available at this moment, so I can't see if it's the same.
