Hi,
This seems like it should be a basic question, but I'm stumped. Is there a way in Panther to make a backup copy of a music CD without using third-party software like Toast?
I'm almost certain I did this before, but for some reason I'm drawing a blank. I see that Disk Utility will backup a data disk, but it doesn't seem to have a "music CD" option.
Thanks!

So is replying to one's own post considered "bad form"? :D
I am still very interested in what anyone might suggest - however I did find something that let me copy it.
I had booted my Linux box, since I knew i could copy the CD with a program called xcdroast. Well it turns out there's a Mac package available now! It doesn't look Mac-like at all, more of the traditional utilitarian Linux GUI - but it did the job.
Since xcdroast has some options that probably aren't available with regular Mac tools, I thought it would be worth mentioning.

Use Disk Copy to make an image, then burn it.

There's no disk copy in Panther. It's functionality has been taken over by Disk Utility.

I do it through iTunes. Rip the CD (now with no loss :D), then burn it.
