Hi,
I would like to start making documentaries. I would like to use a camera that it is as compact as possible.
I wonder if a camera like this one looks like a joke to you:

The $999 price, is not really that cheap for me either.
Let's suppose you are starting to do some documentaries, what kind of camera would you use ??
A camera that could also be used for educational purposes, to record a lecture for example.
A camera that may accept an external microphone and perhaps an external light.
