Hi
I would like to burn some HD trailers I have down loaded to watch on new 1080 tv
When I burn to DVD in toast 10 the quality loss is quite noticable
What settings, conversions application do I need????. To watch in or as close as possible original quality
I still do not have a bluray player but an upscaling dvd player
Thanking you

nothing you do will be "HD" because its not blue-ray. Hence why it doesn't look good. You can burn it and use your upscaling DVD player and it will look much better. But until you have a blue-ray it won't be true HD. It will be 'phony hd'
When your burning it, it downscales it.

I realise it be phoney HD
But just a staright burn to dvd creates such a "crappy" result.
There must be some way to "enhance" the results thru some settings etc
Excuse my ignorance I'm only just starting into this area :)

no, you aren't missing a setting... it looks bad because you shrank the video down to SD.
buy an :apple:TV and you can watch trailers in 720p/1080i
or connect your mac to the TV and and play it back from the computer.

Burn the video as AVCHD onto a dvd and it will play in a blu-ray player as HD.
