help with ATI 9800Pro

Hi,

I recently purchased an ATi 9800 pro card for my Dual 1Ghz G4 quicksilver. Everything runs smoothly except when i play DVD movies or Mpeg2 files. There's always digital artifacts all over the screen when there's moving image. Does anyone know what can be the cause of this? I can't stand watching a movie on my computer with all crap running around. Thanx

Make sure you have the most recent drivers and the most recent revision of OS X, make sure you get any patches to the system. Their have been reported problems with 9800 cards so look for a recent driver from ATI's website, I hope this helps a bit.
