iPhone playing Video

Is there any way I can make a program that plays videos on my iPhone? Any format at all? I am searching for an API like Quicktime in iPhone SDK that will allow me to playback videos, but I can't find anything. Maybe I am not looking in the right direction?

Any format at all? Certainly not.

Formats supported natively by the iPhone software stack. Certainly. I'd suggest looking at the MPMoviePlayerController (http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/MediaPlayer/Reference/MPMoviePlayerController_Class/MPMoviePlayerController/MPMoviePlayerController.html) class or MoviePlayer (https://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/samplecode/MoviePlayer_iPhone/index.html) sample code.
