Anyway to test graphics chip/video card?

Hello
I am concerned to see if my video card/graphics chip is working correctly because a game i put on there crashes (spore) as posted in my other thread and when i scroll down on webites the page tears.

are there any programs that can test my graphics card to see if it is working properly
