Hello, first time on this forums posting, although have been a long time reader and RSS subscriber.

My first gen Mac Pro has a seemingly strange issue, whereby when the Mac Pro starts up and begins booting into OSX (Just as the Apple logo appears) BOTH dvd drives eject.

To resolve this I have checked the jumpers on the back of the drives and have tried:
-Both on Cable Select
-Top drive on Master and then bottom drive on Slave.

Anyone know of any solution to this?

It happens every time the mac starts up...my computer stats should be below.

Mac Pro 2x2.6ghz Dual core intel.
3Gb Ram
1Tb Hard drive
8800GTS Graphics

Version OSX = 10.5.6

Yeah i had this problem on my new 2009 mac pro. The dvd drive would eject the second i started the computer. Its a weird issue that was really annoying but after i had the machine on the 4th day from when i got it, the problem just seamed to disappear. I didn't do anything different it just stopped doing this itself. It must be a software issue of some kind.
I Hope you get it fixed somehow i know how annoying it can be.
