Hi there, first post, new here, used the forums to troubleshoot other issues...
i posted this question over at the apple site... but no one's replied... this page seems to be more active...
my question is really summed up in the post title... i am using optical audio input on my macbookpro 15", it works... and i selected it using the sound pref's... it shows up, and i can see that it is inputting (the bar measuring sound levels in the preferences window show the input levels)
but when i open garage band it will not allow me to arm my tracks (i select "arm".. and it arms for .5 seconds ... then disarms by itself... :confused:
it also goes to "off" in the same manner when i select the "monitor" options... ie. i select monitor w/ feedback protection or ON, and it goes for .5 seconds... then goes by it'self back to monitor OFF...
