Most of my older Apple products had adaptable AC adaptors, where you could buy a kit to easily convert the power bricks to work overseas.
I'm going overseas (to Portugal) this summer, and I was hoping to find a way to charge my iPhone 3g (I want to have some music, games and video for my trip over). But obviously, the new mini-chargers wont work. Anybody know if Apple makes power chargers for the iPhone 3g for use in portugal? And are they available in the apple store??? (I can't seem to find them online at the Apple store.)

You just need a plug adapter. The US power adapter will handle 50/60htz and 100-230 volts (Portugal is 50Htz/230volts with round tipped plugs).

Where can I find the adapter? And I wont have to worry about anything else? We lost a portable DVD player the last time, due to a power converter blowing up on us . I'd hate to lose my iPhone (which is why I'm looking for an Apple-produced solution)

This item from Brando is built like the apple bricks that allow you to switch out tips for different countries and comes with a set of tips. It has 4 usb ports and a built in Mini USB cable.

Is this plug adapter set (http://www.magellans.com/store/Adaptor_Plugs___Converters___Adaptor___Converter_KitsEA346?Args=) ($10) what you're after? This is what I used to travel to Europe when I had 220V adapters and just needed the physical adapter.

I thought I would need a converter for the actual charger. But I guess these are really all I need for me to get my phone to charge... Right??
