I bought a 16 gb flashdrive and loaded over 2000 songs on it & still had over 6 gigs of space left. I decided to delete all the songs from it and re-install a different selection of songs.
Now here is my question.. When I finished deleting all the songs the capacity shows only 2 gigs of space that is available. Is there any way to regain all 16 gigs again.

Did you empty your trash?

Empty your trash. Even if they aren't shown as being on the drive, they are still in the Trash that is associated with said drive, thus they still take up space on it. Emptying your trash will remove them permanently.

I had a hunch that the trash was affecting it. Thanks for your help.

Use Disk Utility to re-format the drive in MS-DOS (FAT 32), but know that the data on that drive will be lost.

It may help with the User Privileges.
