I was wondering if anyone knows where you can purchase on of the apple 15" LCD displays (other than ebay).

Apple resellers might have them. Ebay isn't bad - just do your homework on the seller. Why not get a 17" - other LCD makers have great prices that would be about the same as paying for an Apple 15".
