hi all just wondering if any new ibook owners got the superdrive

How long is the wait for shipment on a bto vr stock

I plan on the 1.2 with SD and BT

No but I hope to soon. Sorry if this question is stupid but... Can i buy a movie and copy it onto a blank DVD (using the superdrive)? Or is it copy protected? (the copy would only be a back up of what I already have ;) )

I don't know where you live, but it would be kinda illegal (in most places). Plenty of tools to do it on the web though (on Pc use DVDShrink, not sure what the mac equivalent is)

As long as you buy the DVD I think you can take a back up copy for personal use. DVDBackup and DVD2OneX will do the trick.

DVDBackup sounds good. Does anyone have this? And if so how well does it work? I am also assuming it is legal for backup purposes only.
