It was a bit difficult tapping from behind a camera, nevertheless works to get the point across.

I'm anal enough about fingerprints/other crub on my laptop's screen, I'd go positively insane with a touch screen on it...especially a glossy one...

Yeah not a big fan of those.

AND it would be so uncomfortable to use it like that or try to type on it.

now maybe if there were also a screen in the bottom where the keyboard is, that might be pretty cool

fast typing on a touch pad? I don't think so. You might manage to do it, but typing more than just a few words would be a royal pain.

In order for a touch screen to be really effective, you really need to have an OS that is designed around a touch interface... that just seems like a royal pain in that video.

...I hope they don't intend that for their "10" "netbook" offering...

It seemed pretty difficult to be precise, for example closing a window on those small corner buttons. I hope the Axiotron Modbook is better than that.

It seems the touch-screen function requires radical changes to OS X to be usable. It'd be sweet if it's going to be something like Bump with touch screen (http://www.viddler.com/explore/engadget/videos/380/). I hope it will not end up being another MacBook Wheel (http://www.theonion.com/content/video/apple_introduces_revolutionary).
