You are much better off going with rev B MBA.

Less heat generated by Penryn CPU. Four times the graphics performance. Faster RAM. SATA drive controller.

It's a little more money, but the rev B MBA is worth it. Start at $1549 refurbished at Apple.com.

get the MBA rev:B, it'll be easier to upgrade the HD or SSD in the future ;)
+ the Rev:B has better graphic performance and also runs cooler.

Don't hesitate to get a MBA rev A. I'm not sure about UK prices, but check the price on refurbs at the Apple store first. The new rev. b does have a better graphics card for playing games, and watching hidef video... if you need that, then maybe that model is better for you... if you can afford its high price. Do your research and get what fits *your* needs.

I advise strongly for the Rev B, so long as you don't notice minor screen problems. A very high number of Rev B Air's have thin grey horizontal lines running across the display. I suggest you see a few in person first at the Apple Store. If you notice nothing, go for the Rev. B.

Yes, there really is a big performance difference between the two:
newer CPU, newer NVIDIA GPU, faster RAM. Changes which look small, but actually make a lot of difference, especially with Snow Leopard bringing effective GPU implementation.
