I am about to buy a new 24" iMac. I currently have a Dell 2408WFP 1920*1200 display which I would like to use as a second display for the iMac.

Which Mini Dislpayport to DVI adapter do I need? Single-Link or Dual-Link?

Thanks

I think you meant 1920x1200

anyways... the Single is all you need. The Dual is for 30" Monitors.

Is there really a difference between 1920*1200 and 1920X1200? This seems kind of nit picky to point out! Anyways, OP, English is right, also you can get a 3rd party one on newegg for 20 vs 30 apple charges for theirs.

In defense of MrENGLISH, I had a type in my original post where I accidentally wrote 1920*2000

thanks for coming clean cause I was just about to point that out!

Beanlok, before you jump to conclusions... you should check to see if the post in question has been edited after being called out for an error. You can clearly see OP edited his post after my post was made.
