Hey everyone, I just got a mac mini, but have no idea what adapter I need to connect it to my monitor.

The people at the Apple store said it came with one, but it didn't have the right adapter.

What kind of adapter do I need for this monitor?

Can it be purchased at a target? If not list other places that may sell it, other than the apple store?

The blue chord is mine, and I need an adapter for it to fit into the mini.

The specs say it uses VGA or DVI-D, and I do believe the adapter that came with your mini is a DVI to VGA adapter...

The one on my monitor does not connect with the adapter that the mini came with, and I don't think the monitor came with a DVI cable, I will check but I don't think it did. I believe it's a VGA but I am not sure.

Thanks for the quick response, but it is not. It's a mini dvi to dvi adapter.

Really? I guess they've changed it since I bought mine.

Anyway, if that is indeed the case, something like this should be what you're looking for (though I could be wrong. This isn't making a whole lot of sense to me, TBH.)

Blue one is the one my monitor has, white is the one the mini came with.

What adapter do I need for the blue one?

The new minis have 2 mini display connectors (display port and dvi). Dell shipped VGA and DVI cables with their most of their LCDs. You can either look for the DVI cable, buy a DVI cable, or buy a mini dvi or mini display port to VGA adapter.

Also, the dell website you linked to says it included a DVI cable.
