I don't want to look like a weirdo if I have a legitimate issue that needs replacing and the laundry list of complaints I've had.

Yeah I understand that, but when they pull up your serial # they see all the previous exchanges too?

Or only if they dive into it?

I've no idea: I've not seen their system, but when I exchanged the battery on my MBP for the second time the Genius mentioned the first time.

Ah, I see. I would think they would look more into the history of a laptop then iPhone 3G, but I have no idea. I'd love for someone who knows to comment.

iPhone 3G is like a disposable electronic, the way it's manufactured and replaced all together.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be too hard to keep track of your exchanges.

You might as well assume that they know.

They can see them all, I was there on Saturday and the Genius said "wow, you've had quite a few replacements" (I've had 5 btw).

I'm willing to bet that the answer is no. Not that they couldn't probably find out if they wanted but I don't think that it comes up automatically. I'm in the double digits of replacements and not once has a Genius ever mentioned the other exchanges.
