The 120 is a rebranded 9500. The 130 a rebranded 9600.

More on point though, there have been some mentions in the 4850 freezing threads about how hot the 4850 iMacs get during various types of usage. I can test mine out and let you know if you wish.

I can't speak to the GT120's or GT130's since I don't have those.

My 3.06 4850 runs unbearably hot to touch when I am playing WoW...
However, when I look at my iStat figures, the temps seem pretty normal to me with CPU and GPU temps averaging around 65.

I guess that the design of the iMac makes it a very good heatsink - just don't rest your hands on the thing when you're using it for 3d intensive stuff.

Therefore, with these figures in mind, I shouldn't be too worried about the heat generated from the 4850.

I hope that this is the answer you're looking for. I apologize if you do want numerical statistics for all the iMac graphic cards.

Confusing that that link uses farenheit in the text, but celsius in the chart. Also doesn't contain the 4850, but given that in that chart the temperatures get higher as the ATi card classification numbers go up... :P

Anyway, I've not really been monitoring my 4850 direct, but I do keep the Northbridge temp in the menu bar, and iMac seems happy to keep the Northbridge at 70C. Once it goes above that, it starts to ramp the fans up, and it doesn't let the northbridge go above 75. So it seems to have quite a small window that it likes to keep the temperature within.

GT130 is 9800M GT... Exactly same clock speeds.

Yeah it was a heat related question/post but this is wrong. The 130 is a 9800.

My bad. Nvidia totally confused me with their renaming scheme to dupe customers into thinking their newly numbered cards were achooley new cards, which I suppose was their intention. Brilliant.
