I have an old iPhone 2g that I just found from being lost and I currently have a 3G. What I would like to do is convert my old 2G into an iPod touch. I removed the sim card and when I have iTunes open it still thinks its an iphone and wants activation. Could some please help me if this is even possible. Greatly Appreciate it.

I have tried to use qwickpwn with 2.2.1 firmware, but it always says "firmware error string". I'm Lost!!
