I have no clue what it's called but... I call them pages. If you look at the bottom those little dots, mine maxes out at 9 pages of them. Is that the max amount you can get? If that is the max amount, you can only download a certain number of apps for your ipod? Is there anyway to change it without jail breaking it? It's the 2nd gen ipod

148 applications is the maximum you can. There is a thread about it here http://forums.macrumors.com/forumdisplay.php?f=113

Yes, 9 pages is the maximum amount of apps that you can have. I'm not sure about jailbreaking it though. Just wondering, why do you need that many apps? Do you even use all of them between syncs?

I've read that the 3.0 software gives you 11 pages, which is another 32 apps :).

I love to have an app for just about everything and a little more. And no I don't use all apps between syncs because i'm always adding new music to my ipod. I sync it with something new atleast every 4 days

So if you aren't using all of these apps between every sync, why do you need to keep all of them on your iPod?
