Anybody able to get replacement phone w/ cracked screen?

Yeah, accidental damage is not covered under the warranty.

I was actually able to get mine replaced despite a small crack in the screen. I admit it was not as bad as yours since mine was more or less a hairline crack but the genius did see it and was aware of it. I was bringing it in because it was freezing up like 5 times a day and was getting out of control. Luckily the genius was a pretty cool guy and we BS'ed for a little while and before I knew it he just pulled out a new one and I was on my way. And I didnt even have an appt either, just walked in and they put me on stand by for like 15 min.

I guess the moral of the story is (as you will probably realize yourself) is that I think it truely depends on the Genius you get and how likeable you can be.
