So my title keeps changing back and forth from "MacRumors Member" and "MacRumors Regular"... Anyone know what the difference is? Thanks

Here's (http://guides.macrumors.com/Help:MacRumors_FAQ#How_do_user_titles_work.3F) a run down on what the usertitles here at MacRumors mean.

If your usertitle is switching back and forth, then I'd guess you're at the cusp between member and regular but you're having posts deleted from your count as fast as you're making them – for example, if a thread you've posted in is moved to the PRSI forums you lost those posts off your tally, or perhaps you've made a number of consecutive posts and a Mod has tidied things up by merging them into a single post.

I'm guessing a thread or two you've posted on went to Wasteland so your post count became under 100 temporarily and then went up to 100+ after a few posts.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5H11 Safari/525.20)

You're showing up as "In Time-out" from my end. Just so you know.

That's a new one for me. I've seen "Banned," but not "In Time-out" and neither of those labels are covered in the link from the earlier post.

Time-out just means the member isn't gone for good, but that they are on a time-out while they think about how naughty they've been :p

Moderator Emeritus... is that a special title for only the most God-like mods? Hmmm..

emeritus
adjective
(of the former holder of an office, esp. a college professor) having retired but allowed to retain their title as an honor.

I don't think that is mentioned in the FAQ actually, I will give go and give someone a nudge.

Ah, it was farther down. Guess I just thought it would be under the Title section of that page.

Wouldn't the "moderator" title be confusing for regular folks? What does that title mean exactly? Does he still have some moderator controls? Is he still able to see the Moderators forum?

How is calling someone retired confusing? If I am a retired mail carrier, I don't think that anyone will be asking me to deliver their mail.

To better comprehend the title, consider when The Continuum stripped Q of his powers.

Better now??

Back into the shallow end of the member pool, eh?

Moderator Alumnus would better - instead of having 'retired' (which sounds soooo old) it would imply that you've graduated on to better things..

I didn't make up the title or anything, the Admins did.

Sorry for answering your question. I'll avoid them in the future.

I'm glad I could inspire some conversation with my time in "Time Out" haha. Even-though I feel I was inappropriately placed in "IN TIME OUT", it did give me time to read other sections of the forums that I had never ventured to. So ultimately, its a good thing. Thanks for all of your responses to my original question, it cleared up a lot. - Eric
