I just got my Unibody Macbook yesterday and I have a shaggymac for a 15.4 laptop, would it harm the Macbook in any way? If so should I just use the one that came with the laptop for shipping?

Thanks

By ShaggyMac do you mean a sleeve? If so then its unlikely to do damage but it will mean that the MacBook will slide around in the case quite a bit. Shouldnt be a big problem if its in a bag or something.

i guess its entirely up to you.. :D if you see it fit and like the way it is, by all means you should just use it.

Really?

Think for a second what you're asking.

No, the case will not actively harm/maim/eat/devour your laptop.

Yes, it will slide around.

Nope, it doesn't, I had an old 15.4" case for my Dell and my macbook slipped in there and didn't get damaged in the slightest. However, I went out and bought a specialized macbook one which has a 'lip' to prevent it from sliding at all, or falling out if it opens accidently. It also has a compartment for papers, perfect for my college.
