Hey everyone,

I'm a video editor/producer and am looking to upgrade my setup :)

I just need some opinions on which video card (s) to go with? as i'm sure most of you know, the options are:

* NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB [Subtract $200.00]
* 2x NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB [Subtract $50.00]
* 3x NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB [Add $100.00]
* 4x NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512MB [Add $250.00]
* ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB

I'm going to be running 1 monitor for the time being until i can get another one over the summer, so i really don't know what to choose. I've heard some things about both the GT 120 and the 4870, but i'd like to get the forums opinion!

and also, say i were to get the 4870, could i then purchase a GT 120 in the future so i could run a second monitor as well??

Thanks alot everyone!

I would say probably the 4870, it can run two monitors.

Both the Geforce GT 120 and Radeon HD 4870 are capable of simultaneously running two monitors.

If you play games or need graphic power the Radeon HD 4870 is the better choice however.

And since they state they are "video editor/producer" they need graphics power.
