I am about to buy next powerbook so,what would happen if I connect external firewire case, and one more fw case to the first case..?
in first one there would be 160 gb hdd and in other fast cd burner.
would burning cds at high speeds be compromised because of fw interface speed?

i think that should work ok. except for burning CD at high speed via the FW burner. i have heard stuff about problems with high speed burning, but i'm not sure.

someone else will be able to answer it better for you.:)

like what cb911 said, it may be a *tiny* bit slower (the hd) -- if you're using both at the same time... but i have no trouble whatsoever burning a cd at 24x, while copying files to my local hd with both devices on firewire, daisychained.

good luck!
