is there a way yet to completely uninstall os 9 from my computer? i wouldn't even care if that deleted classic...i have absolutely no use for os 9 and i want the drive space back...
help is appreciated

My first thought would be to remove the "System Folder" folder, not the "System" folder though.
You would probably need to boot from a CD-ROM to do it.
I'm not sure you're going to save a lot of space though. Most of the space inside my System Folder is taken up by fonts, preferences, and browser cache.

that's what i was thinking about doing, but i want to actually uninstall the entire OS

couldn't you just format your HD & then install just OS X? i think that would be alot easier...

uhh.. I think that if you had a Mac for so long, you would have realised that there is no such thing as "uninstall". Just delete the System Folder, delete the OS 9 apps, and you're done!
