Is anyone else having problems changing the icons in 10.2? I am unable to change icons for the Applications, users, system, utilites folders among a few others.

In 10.1.5 you could do a show info and then copy and paste into the show info of the folder you wanted to change. I also tried to as root, and was unable to.

I called Apple Care, but they didn't know of a way. The tech I spoke with said that they "locked" down the system icons in 10.2 unlike in 10.1.x.

If that's the case, does anyone know of any proggies that would change the system icons?

Thanks :)

Cheers,

MDMAN

I think you're gonna have to wait.. Jaguar has just been released.. it's still brand spanking new... so those little haxies and stuff will come later.. after more people realise these problems.. then someone will make a hack... and so on.

If you do a "Get Info" you can now easily change permissions...I'll check this out later, I just woke up zzzzzzz.....

but, yeah, I had taht problem with my "Home" icon which reverted to the Little House On The Prairie.
