I've been hanging around here for a while now and i really like how helpful everyone is. i hardly ever post anything. but i was wondering if anyone has an iMac g3 that they would be willing to part with to trade with me. i'm pretty short on cash after christmas but i do have a few things i could trade such as an iPod mini and a toshiba pocket pc and other stuff. i would prefer an iMac at 500mhz or better but i'm not too picky. if anyone is interested at all please email me at macrlz9@mac.com or aim boywonder8503 thank you all for your time

Wow, for the cost of an iPod mini and even a cheap PocketPC, you should be able to get a decent slot-load iMac. Check eBay for prices, then eBay your loot to pay for the iMac. (Sorry, I traded my two iMacs a while ago. If I had one, I'd be willing to trade a tray-load iMac for the mini, though.)

thank you for your response ehurtley that is unfortunate for me that you have gotten rid of all of your iMacs but thank you anyway. about ebay i was hoping to avoid selling them on ebay for cash then buying the iMac to save time and all but thanks again!

Ok, I know you said you wanted an iMac but I have a nice PowerMac that I could sell/trade you if you are interested. Here are the specs:
Sawtooth Model
400 MHz G4 processor
512 MB RAM
20 GB HDD (I have another 40 GB HDD that is internal that I could add or replace depending on what you want to do or how much money you want to spend on this)
CD Drive (might be a CD-R I have to check again)
100 MB ZIP drive
2 FireWire ports
2 USB ports
E-Net & Modem jack
16 MB VRAM on video Card (this is the AGP graphics model not the PCI)
OS X 10.3.7 preloaded
I also have some games Quake, Tomb Raider II, Rainbow Six, Duke Nukem, Full Throtle, etc. that I could throw in.
You will need either an Apple monitor, or an adapter so that this computer will display to a PC monitor. The adapter is somewhere between $10 and $20 on eBay.
This system plus the games would go for somewhere between $300-350 on eBay to give you an idea of what its worth. However, I am tired of it taking up space around here (and I already have my beloved iBook) so I really would like to get rid of this. If you are interested I will make you a deal. I would love to trade for something or sell it out right, whatever you prefer. Oh, and this is a very capable machine. I have run Final Cut Pro, MS Office and the entire Adobe Suite on this thing with out any problems. So, let me know what you think. You can email me at jstoup@yahoo.com if you have any questions.
