Sound Output stuck on Headphones

Last night I was using headphones on my iMac.

Today I unplugged them to return to the included speakers. I got no sound. I went to check the Sound preferences but the output was only listed as headphones. Even after a restart, nothing changed.

How do I return to my sound output to external speaker?

Nevermind.

I fixed it by repeatedly plugging and unplugging the headphones into the headphones port. On about the fifth try, my speakers warmed up or something and sounded up. Woo.
