i've got Jaguar and installed the security update on the 23rd. for some reason i decided to go check for updates via software update in the system preferences. i check for updates, and it begins to look for updates. then it says "Failed. Error occured while checking." it happens on all my macs with jaguar. ibook, powerbook and powermac. i have no idea what went wrong. has anyone else encountered this problem?

I have the same problem. TiBook, OS X 10.2, Airport and DSL. Everything worked fine with 10.1.5

its fixed. how? i don't know. what i think happened was that Apple was updating the software updates (or something) and i just checked at the wrong time. it now works smoothly on all my computers.
