We recently upgraded our G4/400 server from OS 9.1 to OS X Server (the latest version - not 10.2). Both of our G4/466s have absolutely no trouble connecting to the server. However, our beige G3/266 desktop running OS 9.1 is having trouble.
When the G3 reboots, the hard drive is highlighted, all icons appear, and the mouse moves. However, I can't click on anything. After turning extensions on and off, I determined that Open Transport 2.7.4 was the culprit. It's icon had become a solid white block. This led me to think it was corrupt.
I then upgraded it to Open Transport 2.7.6. The icon appears fine, but unfortunately, I'm still having the problem.
(I finally attributed the icon problem to not having rebuilt the desktop in months).
Any suggestions?
Thanks
