I have new g4 DP 867
PROBLEM - no sound output while recording or listening to an audio source plugged in to my line-in jack in the back of the G4
It records fine, but I can't monitor the sound through the computer.
here's how I have it set up
---line level audio source 1/8" plug goes into my line-in jack on the back of the G4
---sound system preferences go like this:
•input sound device>line in (while in this screen I can see the input level meter moving, which tells me that the computer is getting sound in from my source)
•output device> built-in audio controller.
---line out goes to my amplifier which plays the system alert sounds and i-tunes fine.
this wasn't a problem with my old G4 450 os 9.2
