I haven't yet found a good use for those stickers. I was considering sticking them on my Windows PC just because... :D

I wasn't too fussed with those little bits of twisted wire that went around the power-leads in the newly-opened box of my G4.

They weren't much good for anything after that.

Apple's hockey puck mouse. Required constant cleaning. Made loud clicks. Squeaky after about 3 months of use. Impossible to keep straight. Scared just to think about it.

Excellent point.

Had forgotten about those until recently, when I was asked to help fix a friend's G3 iMac. It also had a rubber ball in it...

Bit weird how that one actually got produced... nobody liked it – couldn't they see that? Or maybe it was one of Steve's things and nobody wanted to say 'Umm... Boss, that's a really crap idea...'

My wife stuck one on her clock radio. That's the best use I've seen for one.

I put one on the cubicles of 2 of our IT guys. :D

Idiots couldn't believe how fast I got our test eMac (testing our web sites, decided to have it moved to my office so I canuse Pages for some quick and pretty PDFs) up on the network and attached to a network printer. One of them said it's a good thing we don't have a lot of those of I'd be out of a job.

Worst product ever i would have to say is the iBook series with the defective logic boards. Those things are pieces of low quality crap.

The Apple stickers are the only thing that are making my car look classy.

By the way, the wors Apple product for me would be this WHITE wireless keyboard. It get so dirty that look like from the post war.

The reason for the round mouse was for one purpose only to set it apart from the rest and acquire attention to a company and its products heading downwards to add someone DIFFERENT to the future outlook of both the product and company.

It had no other reason, it was a marketing ploy. :)

I have yet to find a reason even a bad one for that matter to use the Apple stickers.

You do not see me putting VW or BMW stickers on my computer, then why would I put a Apple stickers on my car. :)

Back in college I was so tempeted to put a VW sticker on my Idigo iMac, culd never bring myself to do it. It would have ruined the iMac. However, a VW sticker made its way on to my word processor (I used that beast for a year and a half before I switched, even though I had a working PC. I hated that PC). Never had a use for the Apple stickers though.

Wasn't the PB 5300 pretty bad? I never had one, but I have not heard good things.

I guess I own every bad product Apple makes. I've got one of the G3 iBooks with a logic board that has been replaced three times now. As far as the stickers go, one came off at the carwash a few weeks ago and my last one is on there now. When it falls off, guess it's time for a new computer...

How about thrown in a tank with piranhas and sharks with freaken laser beams mounted on they head. ;) :)

Apple needs to move its torture methods to the 21 century. ;) :)

I've still got mine too. Applecare runs out in November and that's exactly when I'm ditching it and buying a new laptop. I consider myself lucky - I've only had one new logic board (touch wood).

I trust that the new G4 ibooks aren't as dodgy as the G3's????

The stickers will stay on the glass just fine if you a) clean and dry the area first, and b) put a piece of paper over it afterward and rub it down really hard. Although an ice scraper will take it off pretty quick.

I've had the logic board replaced only once, as well. It happened in the morning though, and left me without a machine the whole day. Now it just sits on the floor unused, and the battery is kind of shot, too. I can't sell it because I left the box in the US and I have to find all the manuals and CDs.

As for the G4 iBook: someone posted a thread a few months ago about the letters coming off the keys on theirs! What was that all about?

I have a white sticker that came with my powerbook on the back of my jeepster. It's been holding strong for over a year, thru multiple washes and 2 Canadian winters.

The puck mouse I liked, aside from having to clean it alot, I liked it, more then the ADB mice, although I still liked them too.

My Apple Optical Mouse has never needed cleaning. It's been regularly used for almost 1 year without cleaning (1 year of use will come on February 6, 2005).

The puck mouse used a ball, I haven't cleaned my apple optical mouse since I got it either, over 2 years ago.

The 5300's infamous recalled incindiary power supply.

The occasional exploding powerbook battery (usually a bad batch, also recalled)

The Yikes! G4.

The whole Nubus thing

Quadra, Centris and Performa

The "Yo-Yo" Power supplies on the original Powerbook G4 and iBook.

The original silver Airports

Mac OS X.0 "Beta" pre-install program.

The original proprietary Apple video connector (not the oddball VGA, the one that looks kinda like a DVI connector)

and, of course the goddamn hockeypuck mouse/ mini-keyboard combo with the 8" keyboard cable.

I think ADC was the wasy to go ... to bad it didn't catch on with the PowerBooks; and the rest of the industry. :(

... and my daughter loves her PM B&W G3 with hockey puck and shotened keyboard. :)

My least favorite products are the ones released during the Pepsi era.

peace.

20th Anniversary Macintosh was a big flop. Never heard of it until recently. Thing looks pretty ugly, IMHO. And it sold for $10,000 back in it's day. That's like $15,000 is today's money. Totally ridiculous.

Totally ridiculous. You've obviously never used one then (or seen one in person; pictures don't really do it justice.)

I have one, and it's the pride of my collection. Worth every penny I spent on it.

For the record, the $10,000 price tag was to have someone (from Apple, I assume) come to your house dressed in a tuxedo in a limo, and set it up in your house for you. Sales were poor because of the price, so it went all the way down to $2,000 before being discontinued. It is rumored that Steve Jobs hates them, too.
