*Netzero (http://www.netzero.com) and Juno (http://www.juno.com/) offer 10 hours a month of FREE Internet access. Apple could offer to sign up .Mac subscribers with either NetZero or Juno.

**If Apple can strike a deal with local cable and telephone companies to bring them more customers through .Mac, then a $29.95 (or less) competitive rate could be possible, but it's not likely that all the cable/telephone companies would accept the offer.

This is just an idea (not for real), but what do you think? You think I should be Steve Jobs? :) :D

jeez. 100/year dial up... that alone (the dial up service) is less than actual dial up.. much less with any add ons...

this pricing is so out of whack... apple started charging to make money, not lose it

it would be nice if NetZero/Juno supported Macs... cause they don't.

Well, perhaps Apple could get them to support Macs by offering to sign up new customers to their service through .Mac. This would help bring in more customers to NetZero and Juno, and may justify the porting their software to the Mac. ;)

Calm down Shrek. You shouldn't have posted it here if you didn't want criticism. Very nice tactic, going back and editing your post to make it seem more reasonable and then hurling insults.

Actually, I hurled the insults before I edited it. :p
