I purchase a LaCie d2 extreme triple, external hard drive, the other day. I would like to be able to read and write to the drive from one XP machine. I would also like to keep it formatted for my Mac, for ease of of use on my end and to keep it boot-able.

Does anyone have any experience with MacDrive (http://www.mediafour.com/products/macdrive6/)? The person in charge of the PC said I could install it if I was "confident about it's peaceful coexistence." Will it be obtrusive to others using the PC?

Any other alternatives?

Good to hear. It doesn't become obtrusive? Will the other users realize it is there? I don't want to load on a program, that causes any problems for people.

Fully worthwhile.

It will only popup when using a Mac drive right? Even if it will popup at other times, I guess I could turn it off. That should be okaY. Thanks.
