hajimemashite, dozo yoroshiku :)

It's nice to meet you, how do you do?

Oh, and for Americans, it would sound like:

ha gee may ma shtay doe zoe yoe roe she koo

When I saw this thread on the front page, I thought it was about the other kind of Japanese speakers, and I was all about to go off on how my little Yamaha bookshelf speakers suck so much ass...

Close enough (Nan ji desu ka?). It's midnight plus a little. :) Besides, I have to look at the Japenese's governments translitteration of Japanese closely since I grew up on the other way to read and write it in Roman alphabet (Hepburn).

Btw, do you have to take your shoes off to count to twenty? <ducks>

Japanese audio speakers aren't all that great. I like American speakers best. Japanese electronics, however, are the best for me. :)

Heh. If you remember correctly, jyuu is ten and ichi is one. So you would you say ten one or one ten?

It's jyuu ichi.

ju ichi is fine for hepburn transliteration. :) The government likes the compound sounds to be more complicated than they have to be.
