American Idol: Please Go Away

I am going to make a poll here. I feel like fox-bashing :D anyway I just wanted to know who here likes American Idol and who hates it?




I hate the thing and I hate the news media for calling it news. Is this real news? No!!!! They could be be doing reports about school funding of something. ie. Our science class gets .78 cents per student. Our yearly budget is 48$$ What a ****ing joke, thats like going to eat out with family.

The point I am trying to make is the news media isn't really reporting news. News would be something that Joe Smoe wouldn't know. They have "reporters" but they really don't report they just get the news handed to them!! :(

american idol is big and this is the sorry state of televeision these days

luck is more important than talent, and talent is more important than this show, which has no effect whatsoever on the music industry or what i choose to listen to

it's today's gong show or star search and just filler television

I don't watch the show...seems like a big waste of time IMO. :o

Honestly, I don't really watch tv much. I'll catch HBO's Sunday lineup...but that's about it. ;)

i HATE that show, i'm getting tired of these music reality shows....pop music needs to die already...
the only reality shows i'dd ever watch are big brother and the osbornes (when we get it this fall)...cuz ozzy is 1337 lol

I get all my news off the net and a wonderful newspaper called the International Herald Tribune.

It is one of the best international newspapers out there right now.

Otherwise, for entertainment needs, the DVD player on my Mac works just fine.. ;)

You can make it go away by a) changing the channel or b) turn off the TV. Very simple not like those annoying psychic ads that were on every minute on every channel and on radio.

Dude ok I hear you, but when I turn on the evening news and the top story is american idle and then 10 mins down the road they tell you about the guy with a car full of guns headed towards the white house. I mean wtf is up with media these days. The world is full of a lot of posers and all posers are good for is dick licking.

Sorry I don't listen or watch News period. There is nothing there I need to know just a bunch of crap. If I really need to know it, it will affect me directly and thus don't need the news to tell me about it.

If it weren't for the occasional commercial I wouldn't even know what American Idol is. Though I'm still not sure what it's about and I don't really care.
