View Full Version : Dont screw with that coke man!....

I was just curious if anyone else heard about this... In some articles, they are basically saying it's pure rumor. But since 9/11 they said the next "attack" was going to be 9/11 once again... A few people reported middle easterns telling them not to drink the coke. Warning them... (for whatever reason.) But since it's a he said, she said ordeal, they are considering it a rumor. I found it interesting though, not saying it's true, not saying it isn't. Thought some of you would find it interesting as well...

coke is it (http://www.wacotrib.com/news/newsfd/auto/feed/news/2002/08/28/1030592818.21102.2014.0050.html)

they'd have to do a lot of work to do something to coca-cola... it's bottled/made all over the world/US. There's no way that they could do something to the entire nation like this. Of course, I would expect security at bottling plants that service populated areas to be more alert...

The article mentions nothing about Pepsi! :D

>I consider Bin Laden to be a troll ;)

S*tan is a what? I think that's putting it lightly.

I think people these days are going nuts about every f[E]king occurance that is out of the ordinary. I think people need to be calm and security needs to be hyped to the max on 9/11 to comfort everyone's feelings.

There's an old saying:

"Anticipation of death is worse than death itself."

Kinda makes me think the destruction, chaos and mayhem created by the dickheads last year had an alterior motive - there may not be another attack, but the fear of one may be just what they were looking for in the first place. Don't give the bastards the satisfaction.

Just the same, they'd better not mess with my coke supply - I can't function properly without my "black Berocca" (the Aussies and Kiwis will understand...).

It would much easier to put something in the water supply than to mess around with adding something in coke. But since I don't drink it, I'm not that worried.

But I expect there to be plenty of rumors flying next week....

I read on CNN that there was a bomb threat in Turkey.

The police arrested a couple that had a couple hundred pounds of explosives packed in a van.

They apparently wanted to bomb an American military base on 9/11.

So far, I'm liking that. It looks like security is doing all right.

sitting in class, a classmate says her friends grandmother gave 20 cents to a middle easterner to pay for his groceries... afterwards he went up to her in the parking lot and said
"no one has ever done anything like that for me, thank you"

she replies
"it was just 20 cents"

then he replied
"here's a tip for you since you helped me out, don't drink any cola products after 9/11/03"

Come on people, i keep telling you to check Snopes... This particular legend has been around since late last year, as well as about a hundred others:

http://www.snopes.com/rumors/cocacola.htm

Snopes does a good job of invesigating, provides references, and puts a psychological reasoning in a lot of cases...

As for the coke thing, I don't see how they could poison every bottling plant that serves the US.

our water plants are a bigger concern, as well as ports & harbors....

what about cigarettes? what if they poisened those two? and what about our minds? everyone's a litle unedgy already, I think our minds have been poisened and we might as well just be smited off the face of the planet.

or maybe not, pending what the question was.

Though i'll admit it does taste a bit like they dissolved vanilla lipgloss in a vat of coke... still...

Yea, this has a lot less of a reason then when you replied to an old thread to say "dig it man" or "rock on." :p

This thread has a point to be ressurected, it is discussing chicken sandwiches.

Not even if they're good and spicy ones?

All this talk is making me hungry.

Well, Duran, you did mention McDonalds.

I used to be a huge fan of drive through food orders since like up to about four months ago. But, one day, I decided I had enough of Burger King, and dropped getting food there. Eventually, my parents decided to get food on the go from MD. I had some terrible stomach problems the following couple of days. And I decided "******* drive through take out food altogether." I refuse to eat indoors/outdoors at any BK or MD anymore, even if I were paid to do it. That would be like being a patient in drug testing. :puke:

>All this talk is making me hungry.

I'm not hungry right now. I just had two BBQ'd burgers and that basically filled me up. I also tried a 60 percent diluted version of the A1 sauce with the prong of my dinner fork...Motherf**ker! Even with a majority of the solution being water a tiny sample fired my tongue right away. Mom paid dearly by dipping part of a bread roll/bun into the sauce and tried to wipe most of it off. She was like "H*** SH**!!" :D

You don't see that at any Gd McDonalds. :p

Now the coke divas are a different story altogether.
